Our Roof Cleaning Process
At A Perfect Shine we follow a careful, methodical process to clean your roof without causing damage to the shingles or the structure underneath.
We start by clearing all surface debris. That means leaves, pine needles, fallen branches, twigs, and anything else that has collected on your roof and in the valleys where two roof planes meet. Buildup in these areas is one of the leading causes of premature roof failure, since trapped debris holds moisture against your shingles and keeps them wet long after the rain has stopped.
Once the debris is cleared we walk the roof carefully, looking for damaged or missing shingles, signs of moss or algae growth, and any areas that need additional treatment. Throughout the process we use proper safety equipment and proven techniques to protect both the roof and ourselves. We do not pressure wash asphalt shingles. High pressure on a shingled roof strips away protective granules and dramatically shortens the life of the roof, no matter what other companies might tell you.
